Rent, a rock operaloosely based on the opera La Bohème. Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. Check in will start at 11am *These auditions will be GROUP AUDITIONS* *Rehearsals for LEADS will begin in the middle of April 2 times per month through July and will then go to once per month until January 2019. Starting in January 2019 rehearsals will be Tuesday & Friday (6:30-9:30) and Sunday (2:30-5:30) *LEADS are paid a stipend ($150) with a potential for bonuses for helping find sponsors and ticket sales* Group auditions will consider the following areas for casting: Chemistry- the point of Chemistry Auditions are to see how 2 or more actors will interact with each other. We want to see you interact with others! Sound- no interaction is needed. We are just looking to hear how you sound on the song. Acting- we still want to hear how you sound, but we also want you to act & show the emotion of the song during auditions. the |
